The South of France - J’adore! Provence is my favorite European summer destination that my fiancé and I (who is a French native) love very much.
This road trip itinerary in the Luberon region is one that we did a few years ago. I’ve included a few additional wineries that we didn’t get to visit, but plan to next time.
You will discover what makes this region so magical - the hilltop perched villages, wineries, and the farms & lavender fields.
This carefully curated road trip includes:
⏰The best times to visit Provence
🚙Driving times
🍷Which wineries to visit
☀️Where to find the lavender fields
🗺Villages to visit along the way & recommendations of “Eats & Do’s” for each
+ 2 FREE travel guides with “Stays, Eats, & Do’s” of nearby villages ($12 value)
Nature • Wine • Road Trip
Private
Also known as the "Venice of France". We spent 2 days in this village, located on the sorgue (a.k.a. river), and it was one of the most fond memories of our trip.
It is also conveniently close to the other villages in the Luberon, making it the ideal home base, or a pit stop on your road trip.
This quick guide includes:
🏠 Where to stay
🍽 The best places to eat
🛍 Shopping & things to do
🧺 Picnic ideas

Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in France is a must visit if you’re in the Alpilles region.
We spent a day here as part of our road trip of the Luberon in Provence.
It’s a larger village than it’s neighbors (like Gordes, Roussillon), making it a hot spot for people with a passion for food, shopping, art & history.
One of the things I find very charming are the cobblestone streets that lead you to hidden squares with gigantic trees and dining patios.
There’s a lot to do and it can be easily made into a 2-3 days trip.
This day trip guide includes:
🚗Where to find parking
🥐What to expect on market days
🍽Places to eat & drink
🛍Shopping
