Also known as the "Venice of France". We spent 2 days in this village, located on the sorgue (a.k.a. river), and it was one of the most fond memories of our trip. Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in France is a must visit if you’re in the Alpilles region. We spent a day here as part of our road trip of the Luberon in Provence. It’s a larger village than it’s neighbors (like Gordes, Roussillon), making it a hot spot for people with a passion for food, shopping, art & history. One of the things I find very charming are the cobblestone streets that lead you to hidden squares with gigantic trees and dining patios. There’s a lot to do and it can be easily made into a 2-3 days trip.
