The two closest Airports to Todo Santos are La Paz (LAP) and Cabo (SJD). You can rent a car at either airport, take a shuttle service, taxi or use a rideshare app. It is safe to drive this area of Baja and you'll find that most of the roads are comparable to driving in the U.S. 

We have driven up and down the Baja Coast over 5 times and have even sailed the entire coast by boat. Todo Santos is one of our favorite top destinations to visit in Baja. Last year we spent the summer in Todo Santos and rented a place for a few months getting to really immerse ourselves into the local culture. Your best bet to really enjoy Todo Santos would be to rent a car. That way you're at your leisure to enjoy driving to the beaches and the small towns (Pescadero & Cerritos) that are all meshed in with Todo Santos.

But if you're doing a day trip or wanting to just explore central Todo Santos, then taking a taxi in or taking a bus is completely doable... But we still think renting a car will give you the best experience and freedom to really soak this place in. 

Renting a car in Mexico is pretty much just how it is in the United States. Major corporations are here like Avis, Hertz and Enterprise. Use a travel credit card for extra coverage benefits and go with a company that can help you gain partner points towards more travel. 

InDrive is mostly used here. It's an app where you set your own price and drivers can compete to accept the fare or send you a counter offer. Uber is also used but I have noticed less of a success rate in actually snagging a ride over using inDrive. If you do use this app, offer cash (MXN/Pesos). Most of the drivers speak strictly Spanish & you'll find a pretty similar comparable standard to uber.

If you use this service most companies accept credit card and contactless payment options. Pay in Pesos for a better conversion rate on "no foreign transaction fee's" cards.
