Buffalo

Buffalo is the second largest city in New York. It is located upstate close to the Canada border. It is a city that is partly merged with Niagara city as most areas are labeled Niagara-buffalo. This being said its biggest attraction is Niagara Falls. It is also known for buffalo wings that did indeed get its start and name in the city. This is a city full of life and fun things to do. It is surrounded by many universities and full of people who are passionate to live in the city.

What To Pack:

The weather fluctuates depending on the seasons

When packing Check the weather. Depending on the winter, spring, summer, or fall the weather fluctuates and you may need different items. When packing for any of the seasons keep in mind that Buffalo is a pretty casual city. You can get around in items that you feel comfortable wearing. There are not to many places that require a dress code. In fact I happened to walk a lot in the city and would recommend items that are easy to navigate in, also comfortable shoes that are kind to your feet. In the city there are nicer restaurants that you could indeed dress up and go to, But in all most of the people wondering around were in Casual Comfortable Clothing.

Arriving to the City

The airport is about 15 minutes to downtown Buffalo. Unless you plan on renting a car I would suggest staying close to downtown as there is a lot to experience right in the middle of the city.

Ubers, Taxis, cars, trains, and busses are available by the airport.

If you live near, the train is also an easy way to get to this city.

Places To Drink

Along with the food this city has so many trendy places to drink. I will list places that stood out to me. The first is my favorite dive bar I found when I was there.

Buffalo Tap House
@everybodyloves_travel
Favorite bar visiting buffalo. The services is great. Absolutely love the Bartenders here and the bouncer they make it such a fun bar to hang out and wind down in. The bar is tiny and not very busy compared to the bars on the same street but trust me that doesn’t mean a thing because the service and atmosphere beats the packed bars around the area. The bar is stocked with lots of beer and common cocktails. What I loved coming for was the food and they serve late into the night so its great for a snack and a nightcap.
