Day 1
I live a few hours away from Paris. So from 9 to 14 I’ll be driving. Once we’re there, we will walk around the city. These are the places I want to see. The places we haven’t visited the first day, we will go to later.
Eiffel Tower
The Eifeltower is the most popular construction in Paris. You can look at it or climb it. It’s the most beautiful at night when the lights are on🌟
Arc de Triomphe
The Arc de Triomphe was build in the beginning of the 19th century. It was build in honour of Napoleon and his victory at Austerlitz. The Arc de Triomphe is now best known as a memorial site of the First World War. Because a monument has been built under the arch.
Notre Dame
In spite off the fire in 2019, is the Notre Dame still a beautiful chrurch. It’s closed for construction until 2024, but the outside is also nice to see!
Sainte-Chapelle
Another beautiful church is the Sainte-Chapelle. Made in the 13th century, in a gothic style. The glass-stained windows are what makes this church so cool.
Luxembourg Gardens
Relax in the Jardin du Luxembourg. It’s an old, pretty garden in the heart of the city.
Pont Alexandre III
You definitely shouldn’t miss the beautiful bridges in Paris😍
Pont des Arts
This is the Lock bridge, hang one on the bridge for you and your partner❤️
Les Invalides
Mini city for soldiers build in the 17th century.
Jardin des Plantes
Museum and garden.
Petit Palais
Museum you can visit for free. Also called mini-Louvre.
Place des Vosges
Place des Vosges is the oldest square in Paris, surrounded by beautiful houses and hotels. The perfect place to drink a cup of coffee and relax☕️
Day 2
I love going to museums in other countries, so I have picked two to visit.
Musée de l'Orangerie
Musée de l’Orangerie. Here you can find works from the 19th and 20th century. From artist like Monet, Renoir and Rodin.
Louvre Museum
Louvre, you have probably heard of it. It has the Mona Lisa and a lot off other art on display. Must visit on your trip to Paris
Day 3
After seeing some of his work in the museum yesterday I’m going to his house and garden!
House of Claude Monet
Maison de Claude Monet can’t be missed. You can reach it by car or rent a bike to go there.
Food
Pink Mamma
This place looks so cool, I’ve wanted to eat here for a long time😊
Le Pain Retrouvé
One of the best boulengeries we visited while living in Paris. Their cookies and almond croissants are delicious!
Yellow Tucan
Quaint hangout with yellow & white accents, serving specialty coffees, pressed juices & pastries.
Jack and I loved the atmosphere at this place and it’s a stone throw away from one of our favorite public parks, 📍Place des Vosges.
Boulangerie Les petits gourmands
Shops
Shakespeare and Company
Famous old bookstore. I love the vibe here, it’s very cozy😊
