May 16-21 6 Day Trip
I know some of you are definitely in need of a vacation, I definitely do, so I’m planning this cute girls trip in Guatemala.
I was in Mexico in November and I have a few more countries to go before I cross Central America off my list. I’ll also see a bit of South America and the Caribbean. But the 1st stop is GUATEMALA! So if anyone would like to join me for the first few days here that would be great. Guatemala is gorgeous, safe and extremely cheap (shoutout conversion rates)
And if some of you are nervous to solo travel or don’t travel often or like traveling with friends, This is perfect for you.

once your flight information has been booked. Please do let me know so that I will be able to adjust times for pick up

I will be flying out of BWI and others may be flying out of JFK or IAD

ACCOMODATION
ALL ACCOMODATION INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE APRIL 1ST AFTER EVERYONE HAS CONFIRMED
Day 1: 16th
this is definitely going to be a chill out day/get get adjusted day
Arrive : since everyone will be arriving. We’ll get acclimated with our rooms, depending on the time of arrival we will have breakfast offered by the resort
- I will be arriving the night before and staying in Guatemala City until the next morning.
If you’re arriving on the 16th, Myself and the other girls will wait the time will be specified and this will be updated when I get everyone’s flight/arrival information
We will be taking a shuttle/shuttle bus to the Lake.
Transportation from Guatemala City to Lake Atitilan
Lake Atitilan is about 2/3 hours from Guatemala City if you’re not make able to make the Shuttle here are other options:
private taxi:
40 dollars - can fit about three people straight from the airport.
chicken bus:
don’t ask me why it’s called that.
3 to 5 dollars
Public/Shared Shuttle Bus:
- $35
- You can’t leave until it’s completely full so it might be a good option but that clearly depends
Private car Service:
- Relaxi Driver
Transportarion on the lake:
There are these tut-tut: for when you travel on land. And the prices will be around $1- 4 dollars
if you’re going from one side of the lake to another, you will have to take the boats
$3 each way from one side of the lake to another
Lunch & Dinner
there are too many gorgeous options so I made a list to choose from

since it’s the first day it’s really about getting adjusted and chill vibes
Shopping on Santander St. Market visit:
- of course we have to explore the local market places and street food
Bar crawl:
now this will be my first time going to Guatemala too, so I’m not quite sure on which exact bars will be going to, but here is a list of some really good ones
- Simoneta Mixology Cantina: drinks are $1.90 each, there is no menu, you just told the bartender what you want and they make it
- Sublime bar: you can lounge on the dock, and there is a dance floor. $3 happy our
- Aqua Antiqua: 360 views of the volcanoes, monuments, churches, Santa Catalina etc
Day 2: 17th
ATV Tour around Panajachel 390-467Q = $50-65
Party at Azul Rosa
Day 3: 18th Outdoors day
- Reserva Natural Atitlan - 95Q = $12
(bring extra just in case you want to eat at the restaurant there or purchase anything)
- nature tours
- butterfly geodome
- zip lining or cable bikes - 170Q = $21.79
Dinner
Day 4: 19th Lake Atitlan - Antigua
Antigua is a lit city so we will be busy
We’ll leave early so we have a lot of time in the day

Town walk/ sight seeing : this town is literally gorgeous and has so much history and there are many food options as we look around

Day 5: 20th
Golden Hand - Altamira
Lunch: Un Rinçons de Cielo
Mayan Chocolate Making Class @ Chocomuseo - 195Q = $25
El Barrio - party with the locals
Day 6: 21st Antigua - Guatemala City
Going back to Guatemala City wraps up the Guatemala trip.
Bring about: For shuttle back to GC 156-233Q - $20-30
During the day, will go out to eat, go sightseeing, and keep it light before heading to the airport
My flight leaves at 11:00 PM To Columbia, so I will have the opportunity to be there all day,
Pricing:
1 Guatemalan Quetzal equals = 13cents
I’ve listed the prices for most of the excursions and things planned. However, I do suggest bringing an extra $50 per day just in case you would like to purchase anything for yourself giving leeway for meals and restaurants and whatever you’d like to do.
