Hello fellow traveler,

Thank you for checking out my shop! I hope this can serve as a helpful resource to you or people you know. Since you're reading this, you probably want to know more about me...

I'm a 28-year-old living in Arkansas, USA. Why Arkansas? Well, I was born and raised by Vietnamese refugees that resettled in the Natural State so this is home I'm passionate about connecting with my parent's native country, and I've traveled to Vietnam 3 times.

I'm a thrill-seeker and love adrenaline activities. In April of 2023, I earned my skydiving license. My guides will cater to adrenaline-seekers as this is a must-do activity while I travel.

Recently, I ended 5 years of teaching elementary students. This career allowed me to travel during my breaks. I enjoy traveling by myself as it always brings an empowering experience for me.

Coming soon, I will be moving abroad to New Zealand where I will finally experience my dream of living abroad.

Follow my journey on living a less fearful life where I help empower you to confront your fears and try something new.

Fast Facts

My Favorite US City

Boston, Massachusetts
@maiwanderlustlife
Sometimes you just get a gut feeling when life is good and you're at peace, that's how I felt when I was in Boston. I may have also been over the moon with the neighboring city of Dorchester, which is known for its Vietnamese community. There were tons of restaurants, bakeries, and stores ran by the Vietnamese community. In Dorchester, I found food that is hard to make and usually difficult to find, but it was all readily available in this town.

Dalat, Vietnam

Dalat is known for being a top destination for domestic travel in Vietnam. It's vastly popular due to its location and cool weather conditions.

Books I Love and Recommend

Although it's not travel related, I recommend the following because it definitely has played a huge part in living a less fearful life.

My Favorite Mode of Transportation

I love catching flights, but a great commuter ride is my 2020 Honda Super Cub. Don't call it a scooter or moped because it's underbone motorcycle.

To me, life is a compilation of experiments with a goal towards self-discovery. I value personal growth and adventure through travel and hope to service others in their own journey. Being up for experimenting and trying new things wasn't always the case. I was a perfectionist who did not want to mess up in fear of rejection and damaging my self-worth. It took a lot of self-love and patience to build the confidence that I have today. I worked my way up from a completely guided tour to living abroad alone in a van. See my timeline below. If I can do it, you can do it and I'm here to help support you through that. Travel History: 2005 - First international trip to Vietnam (with the family) 2013 - South America for the first time for a study abroad trip in Bolivia 2017 - Guided solo trip (2 months in Vietnam) 2020 - Couples trip to Canada (ended early because of COVID 😢) 2022 - Improvised solo trips to Italy and Vietnam 2023 - Moved abroad alone to New Zealand...and started living in a campervan full-time Cheers, Mai
