The Chimay Trappist beer brewery is actually located about 10 kilometers away from the charming town of Chimay itsElf. One can not actually visit the brewery but there is a large brewery shop just aroundthe corner. The town of Chimay is a wonderfull little place with load of bars, restaurants and some shops to sample Chimay related products or othe goodies. Interrestingly there is a camping smack in the middle of town which is great because you can stroll into town from the campspace. There is also a perfect camper spot at the entrance of the campung, perfect by an overnight stay.

The village of Rochefort is typical of tje Belgian Ardennes. The main street is dotted with cosy bars, restaurants and shops. The Trappist brewery where monks make their famous beer is located a few kilometers out of town. Visits are not possible (except for the Abbey church and there is no shop. So you’ll have to stock up on beer in town. As for camping there is a large camping close to the town center. If you are looking for a quit place you can park tour camper at one of the parking spots thet mark the start of a hiking trail. There are many dotted around the area.
