Zurich + Lucerne, Switzerland 🇨🇭
A collection of my favorite stops in one of Europe’s most charming lakeside towns and the Swiss metropolis of Zurich. When in Luzern, sure to walk under the 1333 AD Kappelbrücke (one of the oldest covered bridges in the world). Also included: a side trip by boat to Mt. Rigi across Lake Lucerne.

Eat, Drink & Be Merry

Wirtshaus Galliker
@bewellandwander
The Galliker family has been running this tavern for over a century, serving hearty, traditional fare to generations of Luzerners. The atmosphere at Wirtshaus Galliker can best be described using the untranslatable German word, Gemütlichkeit (a combination of coziness, familiarity, and the feeling that all’s right with the world). Enjoy a homemade Luzerner Chügelipastete (a veal and mushroom puff pastry pie) while surrounded by old regulars at this family and pet friendly restaurant. - Culture Trip

Bellini Locanda Ticinese
@bewellandwander
PHENOMENAL northern Italian food reflective of what can be found on the border between Italy/Switzerland. Even after 5+ trips to Italy, I was delighted and surprised. If you’re extra nice, the chef might even show you where they hang and dry their own aged meats and other delicious goodies in the cellar below the restaurant.
