If you take the 301 bus from Oriente (can be very full! best not to take it just after work times etc... if you step up at Oriente you probably have a place to sit) it passes through a pretty scenic route north of the airport through the hills. There is also a connection via Senhor Roubado / Odivelas metro stations.
