San Domenico Maggiore Church
@andiamotrips
One of the amazing things about this church, is that from the street, you would never believe the beauty that is inside. The Church of San Domenico Maggiore, located in the historic center of Naples, is an excellent example of Gothic architecture. The interior of the church is decorated with numerous frescoes and works of art, including Caravaggio's famous painting "The Deposition of Christ". The church also houses the tomb of St. Dominic, the founder of the Dominican order. Outside the church you can appreciate the Gothic façade with the white and red marble portal. The central location of the church makes it an important landmark for the city of Naples and a place of great tourist interest for lovers of Gothic architecture.

Ok, so you want to visit Campania, Italy but are curious what is out here besides the big stops like the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento? Ciao, My name is Karen Phillips and I've been blogging/vlogging about the Campania region for nearly 15 years, with a focus on food and wine. I live near Naples, so you can be sure that my recommendations are based on first hand experiences. In other words, I like to walk the walk before I talk the talk. So if you are looking for tips on where to eat, wineries to visit, museums or other cultural spots throughout the region, you have come to the right place. I am so excited to share my info about this region with you. Whether it be Naples for street food and art/museums- or maybe you'd like to visit some of the best wineries in Italy- or your curious about the islands of Ischia, Capri or Procida. What about pizza? Let me work up something that will make your visit to this region that I have called home for 30 years something really special. Ciao!
