"It is a long drive but very worthwhile to see the colors at Sagehen Summit. There are two forest roads off Sage Hen Meadows Road with very small areas for you to park your vehicle. Both have a sign right off Sage Hen Meadows Road that tells you the road is a dead end. The forest road on the east side of Sage Hen Meadows Road will take you to the top a the hill with a panoramic view of the Sagehen Summit area. The entrance point coordinates should be 37.847499, -118.842881. The coordinates for the top of the hill are 37.8527, -118.8417. The forest road on the west side of Sage Hen Meadows gives you a spectacular view of the fall colors of Sagehen Summit. This is where people were taking pictures. The entrance point to this road should be 37.851376, -118.845829. It is highly recommended to have a vehicle with high clearance, as the roads are not paved."
