"The Museum, inaugurated in December 2008, is housed in the historic Palazzo Mazzonis, a monumental building from the 18th century that has undergone a refined and accurate restoration which has enhanced its ancient structures and decorations and allowed for optimal exposure.
The galleries, arranged on the three floors of the building, present works of art from South Asia and South-East Asia, the most important collection of Chinese funerary art present in Italy from the Neolithic to the Tang era (10th century AD), works religious and secular religious and Himalayan regions and a smaller but significant collection of Islamic art.
On the ground floor, in addition to the suggestive and unique Japanese gardens, there is a space dedicated to temporary exhibitions."
