What people say

"The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, often referred to simply as the Louisiana, is a prominent art museum located on the shores of the Øresund Sound approximately 35 kilometres north of Copenhagen. The museum is renowned for its impressive collection of modern and contemporary art as well as its scenic location. The museum opened in 1958, and its name is inspired by the first owner of the property, Alexander Brun, who named the villa after his three wives, all of whom were named Louise. Over the years, the museum has undergone expansions, including the addition of new exhibition spaces and outdoor installations. The collection at Louisiana is huge and includes paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos, and installations. Artists represented in the collection include Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, and many others. The museum has both a café and a restaurant.
