Lee Walker
"Tunis is a mid sized, relaxed city located on the Mediterranean. With beautiful old streets to wander through, mosques, archaeological sites, shopping, ancient universities, palaces, souks, hookah bars, cafes and oh so tasty street food. Tunisia is known in North Africa for its food so I hope you like spicy! (Brik with harissa please!)
The medina (old walled city) in a UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Not to be missed!
The massive archeological site of Carthage - established by the powerful Carthaginian (Punic) Empire, which fell to Rome in the 2nd century B.C. - is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Because of all the wars and destruction Carthage faced, it pales in comparison to other Roman ruins in the country but is still work checking out if you love history."
