" Monemvasia is without a doubt one of the coziest villages in Greece. It is very picturesque and located on an island in connected to the Peloponnese. You can’t see the village from the mainland, because there is a huge plateau in the middle of the island. The village is hidden on the other side of the plateau. You can climb it to visit the church and the old town and you will be rewarded with the best view over the city! The city walls and beautiful brown buildings give it a very rustic feel."

"Monemvasia is often referred to as the "Gibraltar of the East" due to its remarkable fortified town.
You can walk through the labyrinthine streets, admire the stone buildings, and enjoy panoramic views of the sea and surrounding area from the walls."
