Wetteren, België
Hey! I'm Anneleen, a seasoned traveller who loves adventurous destinations. For you, and a bit for myself and my partner, I go in search of the most beautiful places on earth. For many years, we have been collecting the best travel tips for destinations we have visited ourselves. We compile these in handy guides on Thatch. Organising your own round trip is really cool, but sometimes you can't see it anymore in all the information that's on the web. Or sometimes you just lack the time and want above all to enjoy that holiday, without having to spend hours and hours working on it first. It is my goal to make planning your trip a little easier and, above all, more fun. By travel, I don't mean a beach holiday but travelling to enrich yourself, be inspired by other cultures and experience the richness of nature. That is travelling for me! And that's what I really want to share with you. Is your destination not listed, or would you like to see one of our trips adapted to your needs? Of co

Clar Tan
Singapore
Hello there! My name is Clar! Having moved around to 4 different countries in my childhood, I identify as a third culture kid and love exploring the world. In particular, I love getting the feel of a city, living how the locals live and finding unknown hidden food gems. My style of travel can be described as "slow" and "easy-going". I don't enjoy checking off attractions like a checklist and that it is a must to visit everything in a set location. Rather than feel rushed, I'll selectively pick specific attractions; sometimes out of obligation of "did you really go to ___, if you didn't see ___" but also if there is some personal interest of mine. I've personally done a fair bit of solo female travelling and road tripping with my partner. My trips seek to find the balance to explore both the thrilling hikes but also finding joy in exploring the mundane local supermarkets. On Thatch and my blog, I publish itineraries that I have personally tested out and guides of past travel adven

Gabe and Manu
Boston, MA, USA
Hi! We're Gabe and Manu. Do you find yourself idly searching Google flights with destination “Anywhere”? Do you spend your workdays daydreaming of random itineraries and mapping out the best way from Sofia, Bulgaria to Prístina, Kosovo? Yes? Then you’re just like us and would probably love some of the trips we’ve planned. No? Then maybe you hate travel planning and have come to just the right place. We are seasoned travelers who have been to over 50 countries. But we hate checking boxes and we are not trying to hit all the major attractions. If you want to run from the Louvre to the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame, we may not be the right guide for you. If you want to hit up the Hard Rock Cafe in Yerevan on a Thursday to watch a Filipino cover band play Nirvana, then I think you’ll like our style. We know we’re all strapped for time and it’s hard to really get to know a place in 7-10 days, but we are firm believers that it is possible. In our travels we try to seek out those places wh

Clémentine Jeanneau
La Rochelle, France
Hi, I'm Clémentine! After several years as a Marketing Manager in France, and a 6-month work experience in Canada, I had the opportunity to manage a hotel in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica. I'd already traveled to this magnificent country, and living there really immersed me in this culture of "the slow life", which has been ingrained in me ever since. After my experience in Costa Rica, I decided to discover a neighboring but lesser-known country, Panama. It was at this very moment, while falling in love with this country of many wonders, that I decided to turn my passion into my profession and share my best experiences with you. After 4 months in Panama, and thousands of memories in mind, it was time to return to Europe to enjoy some family time. So I returned in the summer of 2023 and now live between La Rochelle, France and Valencià, Spain, where I'm setting up my online travel agency with my partner. Passionate about the art of discovery and immersion in new cultures,
