When I say I am from New York, most people think of the City. But little do people know there is more to New York than just the City. Growing up in Northern New York, I was very fortunate to live so close to the Adirondaks and the Green Mountains of Vermont. And for seven years lived over near Western New York in Rochester. I also lived in Plainfield, NH for 6 months and I lived in Newton, Massachusetts for 3 months. So, I have a vast knowledge of nature around New York State and some of the Northeast, or New England. I hope this gives you some great hikes to check out whenever you venture to the Northeast! I love photography, so the cover photos are taken by yours truly.

Ghent (also spelled Gent or Gand) is a college town in East Flanders, Belgium. The city is centered around a medieval castle and is host to numerous gothic churches, beautiful canals and blooming side streets. Of all the places I have visited in Europe, this one is my favorite. Weekend getaway to Salisbury? Or maybe just passing through on your way elsewhere? Whichever it is, here's an itinerary I used myself to relax and enjoy a few sites around the city during a short stay. I've also given a comprehensive review of the accommodation I stayed in. This itinerary is geared towards historical sites, architecture, and some excellent photography locations and is based on my own itinerary when I took this trip. I’ve already worked in improvements that I would follow upon going on this trip again. Trip assumes a late check in on Friday night and check out on Sunday morning. Any walking times are based on a normal walking pace with brief stops for sightseeing. If you’re choosing to take the bus, you’ll need to keep those changes in mind.
