"
Built in the early 4th century AD, the iconic monument of Thessaloniki represents a pivotal moment bridging the transition from the pagan to the Christian world.
Its purpose remains uncertain, with theories suggesting it served as a temple for ancient cult worship or as a potential mausoleum for Constantine the Great (306-337).
This circular, domed structure stands at a height of 29.80 meters, has a diameter of 24.50 meters, and boasts walls 6.30 meters thick.
Architecturally unparalleled, it draws comparisons only to the Pantheon in Rome."
