"Gordes is a picturesque hilltop village in the Provence region of France, renowned for its stunning beauty and historic charm. The village is home to the Château de Gordes, an 11th-century fortress that has been meticulously restored and now serves as a cultural and historical landmark. Gordes' narrow streets, stone houses, and commanding views offer a glimpse into the rich heritage and medieval past of the area. My tip for you: Before entering the village, take the time to stop at the various viewpoints along the way. These spots provide stunning panoramas of Gordes and its scenic surroundings, making it worth slowing down to appreciate the beauty of this charming hilltop town. Another important tip from me: Parking can be challenging to find in the town center. I recommend the parking lot suggested in this guide. It has plenty of space and ample spots, so you won't have to compete with others for parking in the town center. And remember your rented car plate number before paying fees on the machine! "
"Gordes is a stunning hilltop village in the Luberon region of Provence. It is famous for its picturesque stone houses, narrow cobblestone streets, and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Explore the medieval castle, visit the charming shops and art galleries, and immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of this Provençal village. Don't forget to capture the breathtaking vistas from the viewpoint near the village."
"This is another spot we didn't have time for but looks absolutely incredible! We drove past it on our way to Roussillon, and it looked so cool sitting on the hill top in the distance! "
