"If you are in Des Moines, you have to stay at the Surety Hotel. We’ve already stayed a handful of times and will keep coming back anytime we are in the area. The hotel is located in a historic building and has done a fantastic job keeping the historic elements while also being fully updated with elegant and modern comforts.
Not only is the hotel beautiful, but its location is also fantastic. Most of downtown Des Moines is easily walkable from the hotel, and if it’s not, then it’s a quick drive away (the hotel has convenient in-and-out parking privileges for a small nightly fee). It is also located just 1 block away from one of the country’s best farmers market, held every Saturday morning during the summer!
