I have lived in Dubai for two years and found the beauty of this place (despite the hell of summer) in its people and diverse culture. People from hundreds of nationalities are jointly living in this country bringing their cultures, their food, their stories. All this joined together with typical Arab hospitality culture. Look beyond touristic attractions (that are in this guide, because they are pretty cool). Enjoy the food, enjoy the people.

Global Village

it is the “world’s largest tourism, leisure, shopping and entertainment project” combining more than 90 cultures in one place. If you like the Expo this is quite the same thing, with every country owning its own stand where you can try the local food, get to know the history and buy amazing souvenirs.

A seasonal attraction, Global Village showcases cultures from around the world through pavilions, entertainment, and cuisine. It's a lively, colorful place to experience global diversity in one spot. 
Note: The attraction is only open from October to April every year. 

Global Village is only open during the season. Park operating hours generally are:
Sunday - Wednesday : 4:00pm - 12:00am
Thursday - Saturday & Public Holidays: 4:00pm - 1:00am

It closes sharp at 12 midnight. Try as much food you can here, however shopping at the pavilions here would make your bank balance scream.
