What people say

"Built between 1163 and 1245 on the Île de la Cité, Notre Dame of Paris is one of the oldest Gothic cathedrals in the world. The name of the cathedral means "Our Lady", being dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Important events were celebrated at Notre Dame, such as the coronation of Napoleon Bonaparte, the beatification of Joan of Arc and the coronation of Henry VI of England. It has gone through happy but also dark times, including numerous fires. 👣How to get there: reachable on foot from Latin Quarter (300m-4min). Metro stop: Cité , Line 4. 🎟️Ticket cost:can only be viewed from the outside for free."

"Notre Dame Cathedral is a stunning example of French Gothic architecture, known for its artistic beauty and historical importance to the city. . Throughout its history, Notre Dame has witnessed some of France's most important events, from the coronation of kings to the French Revolution. She has also been a source of inspiration for artists, writers and musicians, such as Victor Hugo, who immortalized her in his novel "Our Lady of Paris." "
"I think this one needs no introduction, the cathedral of Paris is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, a must-visit landmark in the heart of the city. With its stunning stained glass windows, intricate sculptures, and breathtaking views from the towers, it's a testament to centuries of history and artistry. Unfortunately it's still being repaired from the fires of 2019. It should open it's doors to the public in December 2024. "
