What people say

"Neist Point, situated on the western coast of the Isle of Skye, is a breathtaking promontory that boasts some of the most dramatic coastal scenery in Scotland. Jutting out into the Atlantic Ocean, this rugged headland is crowned by the iconic Neist Point Lighthouse, which stands as a sentinel against the backdrop of sheer cliffs and crashing waves. Visitors to Neist Point are treated to panoramic views of the surrounding coastline, with vistas that stretch out to the distant horizon. The coastal path leading to the lighthouse offers a scenic hike, allowing travelers to soak in the wild beauty of the landscape and perhaps catch a glimpse of seals, seabirds, or even whales offshore. At sunset, the cliffs of Neist Point are bathed in a warm golden light, creating a truly magical atmosphere that is sure to leave a lasting impression on all who venture to this remote and stunning corner of the Isle of Skye."
"The drive to Neist Point was for sure the most stressful of the trip. The roads were narrow, windy and single-track. So drive with caution! We didn't necessarily hike to the very tip of Neist Point because we felt that view was actually much nicer admiring it from the coast. If you'd like to walk to the tip, it is a steep climb, but should only take around 1 hour. "

"Getting here is a bit of a drive, but WOW! We came for sunset and were not disappointed. One of the most gorgeous spots on Skye. Getting out all the way out to the lighthouse is a bit of a hike, but you can enjoy the views comfortably from near the car park. It can get busy, so make sure to head over a little before sunset to secure a spot. "
