I'm traveling to Copenhagen in May 2023. This is my list of 100+ destinations based on tens of hours of research from well-trusted sources that range from personal contacts to travel experts and publications. 

The list is categorized by place type, inclusive of restaurants, cafés, shops, museums, and playgrounds. While my research accounts for the fact that I'll have my 2-year-old daughter in tow, I don't exclude things because of that.

The first time I visited a city, and I already was planning my next trip. So many people love visiting Copenhagen and for good reason. The recommended places below hit both the popular (arguably tourist) spots as well as some hidden gems I stumbled upon.

One of my favorite meals during my stay in Copenhagen that I fully intend on going back to once I come back to the city. This was a place my friend recommended and I'm SO glad he did. They have set menus, or you can order a la carte. Depending on how hungry you are, I would order 3-5 dishes max. Perfect spot for lunch.

Another place to try open faced sandwiches and about the same price as Aamans.  A Michelin starred restaurant but prices quite moderate. 

Booking recommended. 

Travel Tip:  If you've never been to a place go for lunch as often you can find cheaper set menu deals than dinner.
