Plaza de España

"The Plaza de España is a monumental and majestic work. It took 15 years of construction work to build it, during which 1,000 workers worked on it every day. Simple and common elements such as marble, carved bricks, ironwork and tiles made by the master craftsmen of Triana were used to build the square. Years after the exhibition, the square fell into oblivion and suffered a period of neglect during which it was seriously deteriorated, but fortunately it was extensively restored to restore its shine and splendor. Located in the Parque de Maria Luisa, with an elliptical shape that opens out as if in an embrace, the immense square is presided over by a large central building framed by two Baroque-style towers over 70 meters high. The building is covered by a gallery with coffered ceilings covering 48 benches, with beautiful tile decorations that tell different chapters of history, representing the Spanish provinces. One of the main attractions of the square is a 500-meter-long canal, which can be used for boat trips, covered by several bridges."

"Probably Seville's gem in terms of places to visit. Plaza de Espana is a gigantic half-circle space with astounding architecture. It was first built to represent Spain's industry and technology exhibits in 1928. There are four bridges crossing over the water. The overall view reminds me of the little canals of Venice, also, it's possible to rent boats and have a tour of the plaza by water. Along the building there, there are small niches, representing each of the ancient Spanish kingdoms. The details in every one of them are unbelievable! "
