What people say

"Lokál is one of the most popular Czech restaurants in Prague, filled with, as the name states, locals. A traditional Czech pub for the 21st century with carefully handled beer, freshly cooked food and friendly professional service. They have Pilsner and Kozel on draught, and they care about keeping it correctly and making the journey from the tank to the glass as short as possible. The simple interior in 1970s style features long wooden benches, and a stainless steel bar with the tank in use right under the tap. The experienced bar staff can pour your beer in various ways – “čochtan”, “hladinka”, “šnyt”, or “mlíko” (with increasing proportions of creamy foam, respectively.) Honest Czech cuisine, based on traditional recipes, is made with Czech ingredients from local suppliers. The menus change every day, and include a lunch and evening selection, which is available until closing time. There are several locations throughout the city, and it is worth a stop (and a reservation). "
"The paradise for beer & Czech food lovers! They serve Pilsner beer directly from the tank, which is the best way to enjoy beer at its finest. While Pilsner beer might be a bit too bitter for some people (including me :D), I recommend trying the dark Kozel beer; it is truly amazing and almost velvety! If you prefer something non-alcoholic, you have to try the typical Czech "Kofola" served on tap! It is similar to Coca-Cola, but much better! Give it a try and see! :) The food here is delicious, with a menu full of Czech specialties. I highly recommend trying the "Svickova." And do not be afraid to ask for more sauce or dumplings (or both) - they serve them "all you can eat"! :D The place is huge, but also very popular, so I recommend making a reservation to enjoy the evening peacefully. You can also visit for lunch during weekdays when the prices are more budget-friendly. :)"
"One of three Lokál restaurants on our list. This one is a few blocks from Old Town Square and on the lovely Dlouhá street. Lokál is a classic, no-frills Czech pub/restaurant by the Ambiente Group focusing on quality product and lively atmosphere. On tap: 🍺 Pilsner Urquell 🍺 Dark Kozel 🍺 Spirits, cider and lemonade Classic Czech dishes like: 🍗 Beef braised with Savoy cabbage, potato dumplings 🍗 Pork cutlet schnitzel fried in butter, potato salad 🧀 Marinated Olomouc curd cheese Vibe: 😎 Authentic Czech, fresh modern execution Nearby: ➕ Old Town Square ➕ Astronomical Clock"
