The hotel was built in 1923 by the French architect Gabriel Veyre and has been renovated several times since then. It is located in the heart of the city, just a short walk from the Jemaa el-Fnaa square. The hotel has 135 rooms and suites, all of which are decorated in a traditional Moroccan style.
