Lima is the capital gastronomic in Lima, is without a doubt one of the city's must-see destinations. It’s name comes from the ravines and cliffs that line the Lima coast. Barranco is truly a bohemian place, it’s a cradle of poets and served as an inspiration for countless writers, musicians and artists.   Through a survey I conducted on Instagram, I collected some opinions from local and foreign friends with regard to what they like about the district:   ‘‘The charming cafes, the hospitality of the people, the Central and Kjolle restaurants, the picturesque streets and houses, the landscape of the Pacific Ocean, the magical light that bathes the district at sunset, and its unique energy.’’ ‘‘An ideal place to enjoy a romantic date, thanks to its charm and historical essence.’’ ‘‘The cobblestone streets and the wide variety of restaurants, also the nightlife of Barranco is vibrant and exciting.’’ ‘‘If you need a place to clear your mind and find inspiration, I would definitely recommend visiting Barranco.’’ I love Barranco. With a lot of love and passion for this unique place, in this guide I conducted some of my most sincere recommendations so you can enjoy Barranco on your first visit.
