Curação: 4-day trip (Review)
Before we dive into the beauty of Curaçao, let’s talk preparation. Checking visa requirements is crucial, and the best time to visit is during the dry season, from April to October, offering sunny weather with minimal rainfall.
Choosing the right hotel is key; we were a on a couple trip and opted for a small hotel close to Willemstad, ensuring a blend of city charm and beach tranquility.

Best Beaches to Visit
Let’s talk about what makes Curacao truly special – its crystal-clear beaches. Grote Knip, a bit farther from the capital, offers a serene escape. Playa Lagun, though small, is perfect for snorkeling, but be cautious of jellyfish. The Curaçao Sea Aquarium provides a unique aquatic experience, while Jan Thiel offers an artificial yet relaxing beach setting.
Other must-visit beaches include Playa Kenepa, with its pristine sands; Cas Abao, a serene escape surrounded by lush landscapes; Playa Porto Mari, a family-friendly beach with vibrant coral reefs; and Klein Curaçao, accessible by boat, providing an off-the-grid paradise.
Willemstad
No trip to Curaçao is complete without exploring the beautiful capital, Willemstad. Marvel at the city’s famous buildings, each painted in a kaleidoscope of colors, creating a picturesque backdrop for your explorations. Don’t miss the lively fruit boat market, a sensory delight with an array of fresh, tropical produce.
Curacao is a destination that truly captures the essence of the Caribbean. With its stunning beaches, rich cultural experiences in Willemstad, and a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, it’s an ideal getaway for couples or families. We’re left with a tapestry of memories, and we highly recommend adding Curaçao to your travel bucket list.
