Aux Merveilleux de Fred
@travelingsugarsoul
This is an absolute hidden gem on the right side of the old town! The place is actually very small, but the selection of desserts is wide. They specialize in French desserts. The fresh brioche is to die for. I definitely recommend trying the sandwich with goat cheese and fig jam and 'Cramique chocolat' (their speciality).

Cukrář Skála
@travelingsugarsoul
Local bakery, where you can see how the desserts and cakes are made, since the walls between kitchen and hall are made of glass. They have a lot of local Czech desserts, but with a contemporary twist. I suggest you to try: 1. Větrnik - Choux pastry filled with caramel and vanilla cream and covered with caramel glaze 2. Laskonka - Three layers of meringue with hazelnut buttercream between the layers 3. Kremrole - A traditional puff pastry tube filled with whipped egg whites and sprinkled with powdered sugar

Very nice classical cafe with an extremely nice service. Perfect for an afternoon coffee and desserts. They also offer local desserts. I suggest you to try Indiánek (fluffy beaten egg whites on top of a thin biscuit covered with bitter chocolate ganache)

Café Savoy
@travelingsugarsoul
A very fine cafe-restaurant with vintage furnishings. Their Větrnik had to be the best in town!
