List of the Best Beaches:

Beach Estudantes
@lifeofthetravelingpin
This is a tiny sandy beach nestled among rock formations that extend into the sea, making the water relatively calm and perfect for swimming. There is a small staircase or homemade tunnel that connects two beaches together. You have to go through a little cave in order to reach the Roman Bridge. There is also one or two little bars either on the beach or just up the stairs from the beach.

Praia do Pinhรฃo
@lifeofthetravelingpin
This beach is located between Praia dos Estudantes and Dona Ana, it has crystal-clear water and yellow/orange towering cliffs. You can walk into some various caves without taking boats or kayaks, especially during low tide. Strongly recommend this beach!

Praia de Dona Ana
@lifeofthetravelingpin
Such a beautiful location with an area to hire sun loungers and a reasonably priced cafรฉ with spectacular views of the beach. There is a few stairs to climb but they are relatively easy. There is a smaller more secluded beach to the far right as you come down the stairs.

Praia do Camilo
@lifeofthetravelingpin
Great little beach, but make sure to get you there early because it gets busy around 10.30-11. There is loads of fish both big and small, amazing spot to swim around the rocky coast and see fish swimming. THING TO NOTE: There is two secret caves to the left during low tide that you can access, one you have to crawl or climb into but the other you can walk into and reach. Both are worth it.

Praia da Boneca
@lifeofthetravelingpin
This is actually neighbors to the Praia do Camilo and can be connected through a short tunnel, carved in the rocks. It has azure-turquoise colored water to the rainbow orange to red toned rocks. THINGS TO NOTE: If you're adventurous and can swim efficiently you can reach small little caves and hidden beaches!

Ponta da Piedade
@lifeofthetravelingpin
A beautiful and scenic spot especially to watch the sunset! You can take the stairs down to the beach and the caves are absolutely beautiful. It's close to a large beach. THINGS TO NOTE: Beware of the steps of what you must go down and come up, when it's really hot these would be brutal.

Praia da Luz
@lifeofthetravelingpin
The views are spectacular because they are right on the ocean! There is a huge seating area outside, inside as well as the rooftop. The food and drink are excellent! The service is good as well. Highly recommend!

Secret and Nearby Locations?

Praia Grande
@lifeofthetravelingpin
To access this beach is a bit challenging because you need to go down on the cliffs holding onto a rope, then squeeze yourself between the cliff walls. It is a small and quiet beach but you'll need a car, uber/bolt, or train.

Praia dos Caneiros
@lifeofthetravelingpin
This was honestly one of my favorite beaches during my stay because it isn't as touristy and has a nice bar/restaurant connected to it. Definitely recommend! I took a train to Ferragudo and then an uber/bolt here.
