We arrived and landed in Johannesburg.

Day 1

We rent a car at the airport with Budget, was very easy to take it, I think less than 30 minutes.

We drove until the entrance of the Kruger park, stopping is some stunning places. In order:

Day 2-3

We entered the Kruger park.

You can do the Safari with your car, it's not necessary to go in a group.

To enter the park you have to pay a day-fee around 23€ each day.

We slept there 2 nights in two different camps.

Day 4

Last hours at the Kruger and way back to Johannesburg.

We took a flight from Joburg to Cape Town and arrived in Cape Town late in the night.

Day 5-6

Both days in Cape Town visiting the city. We haven't rent a car but we used a lot Uber.

(I will write in another post what to do in Cape Town)

Day 7

We went to the airport of Cape Town to rent another car and we visited the peninsula of Cape Town. If you have more time you can spend 2 days visiting the peninsula.

Last hours before leave the car at the Porth Elizabeth Airport.

We spent all the morning there, hiking, beaches... Amazing place.

We stopped also at

Suspension Bridge

But the price to enter to the park is really high and I don't think it worth to go only to the bridge, but the park in general is really nice, so if you have more time stop there at least half day.

Before nigh we took a flight from Porth Elizabeth to Johannesburg.

Day 11

We can't leave South Africa not visiting the place were Mandela lived.

So we slept at

Lebo's Soweto Backpackers

And had a bike tour through Soweto with them. Really nice experience.

We visited also

The same night we took a flight back home 🥲

If you have any questions ask me!! Hope you will enjoy SA as well.

I have been traveling since I was young, and even today, whenever I have the opportunity, I escape for a weekend, or why not, for a few more days. I try to include architectural points of interest in my travels as well. What never misses in my travels are tips from locals, good food, and living life to the fullest. I travel with friends, as a couple, but also by myself!
