First Timer's Guide to Visiting Mexico City

There are two areas that are very famous and very central in Mexico City. 

You're going to be tired from traveling, so spend your first day visiting a place nearby like Chapultepec.

When you visit Chapultepec, you have to visit the Castle.

If your day 2 falls on a weekend and you're looking for a party, then head to Xochimilco. If you're not looking for a party, then I recommend doing this on a weekday instead.

There are several entrances to Xochimilco, to get on the boats. The nicest, newest one, with the best services is Nativitas. 

Uber is the easiest and safest mode of transportation in Mexico City, especially if you're a first time visitor. Uber is always safe and secure in Mexico City. It's also very inexpensive compared to American prices.

Spend the day exploring the city's Historic Center. The entire area is about 10 blocks by 10 blocks. 

A great way to see the sights is to take the Turibus Double Decker Bus tour.

Some of the sights you should make sure you see, whether you take the bus tour, or not. All of these spots are within 10-15 minutes of each other. They're great spots for photo-ops, or just to hang out. You'll also find lots of vendors & street performers.

There are also other activities you can enjoy in and near the archeological zone, like ATVs and ziplining.

If you're going to Mexico City, you have to see the Pyramids.
