𝔽𝕣𝕖𝕖 Copenhagen - Pastry guide

‌One thing the danish are most certainly famous for are their pastries. 🥐🥮  The big question remains: "Where should I try them?” So that you don't end up in a branche, I and my friend came up with a list of the most authentic and deliciuos bakeries and cafes in Copenhagen ☕️. Wherever you dicide to go, make sure to try "Spandauer" and "Tebirkes". Also, "Jordbärtarte", translated strawberry tart 🍓, is a must-try.

BUKA Bakery

A trendy but cozy bakery. They have amazing classics as well as fancy new interpretations. I would recommend trying their seasonal specials and some of their traditional options. Their almond croissant was literally to die for. I also loved their Spandauer with elderflower cream and strawberries. (they have multiple locations so definetley check one of them out)

This bakery is my friend's favorite one. Sadly, when I visited the bakery was closed. However, I still would highly recommend going there. The reviews sound amazing and I will be forever jealous of you. They mostly have classics with a little twist.

On our last day in Copenhagen, we luckily found this sweet bakery. It has more of a traditional vibe and serves mostly classics. However, these classics are bomb. If you desire a break from the touristy center I would definitely recommend going here. Their cardamom buns were amazing.

Far away from the touristy center, this local and sweet bakery has its home. In a laidback, local atmosphere you can taste the most wonderful pastries. If you have the time to explore outside of the center, I would highly recommend you to visit this bakery.

My friend highly recommended this place to me and it looks gorgeous. So if you want something other than pastry for breakfast some time, this is the place to go. They have great waffels and savoury options.

Dear wonderful fellow travelers, I am Maila, an international student studying in Amsterdam currently. Originally I am from a small town in the southwest of Germany. Even though I am a full-time student, I try to spend all my holidays traveling with friends or family. When I travel, I want to experience the country's core and get to know the culture from the inside out. To see as much as possible, I always plan in advance which places I NEED to see. In the end, I have a huge list of spots. When traveling, such a list is key to not ending up in any tourist traps. Therefore I decided to share my lists and advice here. FOOD is the way I mostly get to know a country. In my opinion, food can tell you so much about culture and people. It is also something you can easily enjoy while traveling (I mean you gotta eat right). Additionally, I am a huge nature and outdoor lover, so I´ll promise you, you will also find hikes and outdoor activities in my recommendations. In general, I am not the "sit at the pool all day" kinda traveler. I always need to explore and be on a new adventure. If you are ready to start your next adventure, enjoy incredible food, and discover new places, follow me!
