Day One - Late Afternoon/Early Evening

There are several options of where to stay in Napa and the valley is filled with quaint Bed and Breakfasts, Air BnBs, and hotels - and they all have great reviews.  This hotel recommendation has a restaurant on site, a small grocery shop, as well as a spa and golf course.  The Silverado Golf and Spa Resort has all the amenities to make your weekend getaway luxurious.

Once you check in and get settled, meet up with your party at Forno at Silverado for dinner and then head over to the Mansion Lounge for a beverage before turning in for the night and getting a good night's rest for a day of wine-tasting tomorrow!

Day Two and Three

Wine Tasting Day!  To start the day off right, head over to the resort's, Cafe at Silverado to grab a bite to eat for breakfast. At the cafe is a variety of pastries, breakfast burritos, and breakfast sandwiches.  While you are here, grab a couple of bottles of water and some snacks for the day. To ensure that everyone can have a relaxing day, hire a driver for the day.  Depending on how many are in your party, this can be anywhere from $500 to $1000 for the whole day.  A recommendation for a company to hire a driver is Apex Transportation.  The driver was knowledgeable, kind, and prompt.

The following is a list of highly recommended wineries.  I suggest three or four wineries a day.  Be sure to make reservations!

Rombauer Vineyards
@chasityraybuck-bonilla
A wonderful blend of wines to taste. The vineyard is also a beautiful place to sip on wine and enjoy the views. Wines are reasonably priced as well and you won't be disappointed.

Mumm Napa
@chasityraybuck-bonilla
A sparkling wine lover's delight. Be sure to ask for the "non-store" menu! They have wines that they ONLY serve at their vineyard that you can't get in the stores...Those wines are the ones that you'll want to purchase for your next celebration!

Freemark Abbey Winery
@chasityraybuck-bonilla
Freemark Abbey is a delightful winery rich in history. Not only is their wine amazing, but their story is fascinating. This winery was the first winery that had a female winemaker. It was also successful in staying open during the prohibition era by claiming that it made wine for the Catholic church! The grounds and atmosphere are some of the best in Napa!

Lunch Spots for Days 2 & 3

At some point, you'll need to eat lunch!  Napa is known for its small eateries along the wine trail.  Below are two recommendations.  Each of these places are not much to look at from the side of the road, but rest assured that the food is amazing and something you'll think about for days after!

The Station
@chasityraybuck-bonilla
Such a fun place to stop and grab a quick bite to eat while you're out wine-tasting. Not only do they have mouth-watering pizzas, but their BLT will leave you wanting more. If not for lunch, you could have breakfast here as well.

OH MY GOODNESS....the Chicken Gruyere Sandwich is something that is still in my dreams! I can't wait to go back to Napa to relish this deliciousness again! Bring your patience, everything is made to order when you are here, but it is SO worth the wait! While you are waiting, take a moment to explore the shop. The have the best jams to garnish your charcuterie board at your next party!

In addition, my husband and I know how important it is to make time for each other - even as a weekend getaway. Planning a girls' weekend (mom's getaway) is also in my wheelhouse;)!
