Siena

Sweet tooth

La Nuova Pasticceria
@MementoMartina
Locals’ favorite traditional Sienese artisanal pastry shop, a great place to stop for a caffè ☕️ and something sweet. The most local sweets you can find in Siena are: cavallucci, ricciarelli and cantucci cookies, and panforte and pan pepato cake. Buy a packet of cantucci to dip in a small glass of vin santo wine to feel like an Italian grandfather for a day.

Dining & drinking

Enoteca i Terzi
@MementoMartina
Technically "enoteca" is the word for "wine shop", but oftentimes it can be so much more. Like in this case, with a full-blown restaurant. Come for an easy aperitivo with a bottle of wine and a salumi and cheese board... and consider staying for the rest of the menu! Food offer is a balanced cross between tradition and innovation. Vast wine selection with something for every palate and every budget. Gorgeous interior with brick archways, built around the walls of a stone tower from the XII century.
