Restaurace U Pinkasů
@melaniemallory
Mel Says: Good traditional Czech food and beer, decent prices, and most importantly they have a gorgeous and unique beer garden behind the restaurant (open in nice weather),  nestled into the walls of the 14th c. gothic church next door. You sit amongst the ruins of the rectory, Gothic architectural remnants all around you. In some of the stones you may even see long, narrow gouges where 15th c. warriors sharpened their swords in the Hussite Wars. This also is the first restaurant in Prague to serve pilsner beer on tap (you can even see the original tap on display downstairs near the bathroom.

"Prague never lets you go... this dear little mother has sharp claws." - Franz Kafka I'm Mel, I've been living in Prague since 2015 and I'm crazy passionate about this city. I started guiding in 2017 and I still work as a licensed guide today, giving walking tours to visitors. But I realized that on a 3 hour history tour, there is never enough time to give all the suggestions and advice I have! Prague is a huge, diverse city and there is something here for everyone. Here on Thatch, I can deep dive into all my suggestions and recommendations, geared towards finding the right side of Prague for each traveler.
