What people say

"Kantýna in Prague is a must-visit if you’re into top-quality meats and a casual, communal dining vibe. The lunch menu here is all about simplicity and flavor, focusing on freshly grilled meats straight from their butcher's counter. You can expect classics like roast beef, sausages, and schnitzels, all served up with sides like mashed potatoes or bread. The atmosphere is laid-back, and it's perfect for a quick, hearty lunch that doesn’t skimp on quality This is the place to order: burgers, tatarak (beef tartare) and beef carpaccio. You’ll get a paper when you come in where you will then give to each station as you order. Try and snag a table first or you’ll be standing in the middle which is the communal area. At each station they will mark your paper and you will be given your food immediately (some dishes they’ll bring to you and you’ll be given a number)."
"If you’re a meat lover, Kantýna is your paradise. This butcher shop meets restaurant in the heart of Prague is all about nose-to-tail dining. Think beef tartare, pulled pork, and an open kitchen that adds to the lively atmosphere. Communal tables make it a fun and bustling spot to enjoy some serious Czech meat dishes. 🍖"

"Mel Says: Modern & industrial styled Czech canteen, behind the butcher shop at the front. Great high quality food. Be sure to keep track of the slip of paper where they write down all you consume, as you will have to pay a fee if you lose it."
