Spring is an EXCELLENT time to visit the parks in Paris! I'd also recommend going for a picnic while you're at it!

Parc Monceau
@czphoneshome
This is my personal favourite park in Paris! It’s roughly a 15 min walk from the Arc de Triomphe and it’s perfect for a picnic! I liked it because there’s actually a lot to see - a Venetian bridge, Corinthian columns, ponds and a carousel! 🧺

Buttes-Chaumont
@czphoneshome
This park might be a bit out of the centre but is a really special place to visit. This is one of the largest green spaces in Paris (and it’s quite hilly!) There’s a lake in the centre with a large suspension bridge hanging over it with a small temple overlooking the side of the hill - not your average view in Paris which makes it pretty unique! 🌉 When we visited, we stopped by a bakery in the neighbourhoods just outside the park and then sat down and enjoyed our breakfast. We then strolled around, across the bridge and up the hills and it was a really lovely morning - especially if you want a bit of a change a pace and a bit of a less touristy destination!

Luxembourg Gardens
@czphoneshome
This is probably the most well-known spot on this list and is only an 8 min walk from the Pantheon! It’s particularly pretty because of its gardens overlooking the Luxembourg Palace! It’s a really beautiful place to grab a seat and people-watch! ⛲️ Fun fact: they also have a beekeeping school!

Jardin des Plantes
@czphoneshome
There is a lot going on inside the Jardin des Plantes! There is a zoo, the natural history museum and the grounds itself is a botanical garden. The grounds are divided into sections offering so many different types of plants and landscapes making it the perfect place for a stroll! It’s definitely the most diverse green space in Paris! 💐 The gardens are free to visit but visiting the zoo or the others spaces are not.

Père Lachaise Cemetery
@czphoneshome
This cemetery is packed with history! You can find some really famous people such as Jim Morrison, Edif Piaf and Oscar Wilde! I personally think it’s one of the coolest public spaces in Paris and I easily spent a few hours just wandering the grounds! 🌳 And it's huge - its 44 hectares (108 acres)! It’s also free to visit! There are a few metro stops around the park: Père Lachaise, Gambetta and Phillippe Auguste so you have multiple options as to where you want to arrive and depart from. The walk from the Père Lachaise station was super easy as there was an entrance right across the street and we exited the other end of the park closer to Gambetta Station which was a bit farther of a walk but still very straightforward. I'd recommend, when you arrive, having a sense of where you want to exit by checking out the maps in the park and finding one that's close to a metro. You don't necessarily have to exit from the same entrance you came in because it's a large park and it might be a better use of your time to enter at one end and exit at a different side.

Square du Vert-Galant
@czphoneshome
This is a really small park/square at a really cool location. It's located on one of the only islands in Paris, making it a really unique green space to check out! You can come here for a short break or you can even pop down to the river bank, sit by the water and watch the boats pass by. 🛥️
