Caravanserai
@danielhart
Dark Matter is known in the city as purveyors of fine coffee, and their unique and enticing spaces. The Caravanserai is no exception. Stop in here for some coffee and a spot to get some work done. And if coffee isn't your thing, try some of the specialty Mexican drinking chocolate. So delicious. So sweet. And stay for the tamales...or if you're looking for something heartier for lunch...the next stop will fix that void.

Staropolska Restaurant
@danielhart
Avondale has been a historically Polish neighborhood. It's not as strong as it used to be in the business department, but there are some hold outs. Staropolska is a wonderful dinner experience. Fill up on pierogi, or the Hungarian style potato pancakes. Will not be disappointed.

Edelweiss Tavern
@danielhart
Edelweiss is this cozy place where you'll always feel like a stranger unless you buy a round for the whole bar, then you're the patrons best friend. Unless they show you up with beating you to buying the round, you can't follow that niceness, you copycat!

Alice's Lounge
@danielhart
Alice's is a place that you don't want to show up at too early. This place is, by definition, a karaoke bar, but come here at 3am when you and your friends don't really care what your drink order is anymore. Add your name to the list, enjoy the cheap drinks, regret that later...tonight is about memories that you may or may not remember.
