HIKE HERE: From the car park in Aspiring National Park there will be a trail to the blue pools through the greenery. It will eventually take you on some wooden, fixed walkways before reaching the pools. The water is so clear that you can see right to the bottom of the pools, and on a sunny day, the colors are truly breathtaking.ย

HIKE HERE: Head out on the 8.9 mile loop trail near Glenorchy which is considered moderately challenging, but is a popular trail for bird watching, running, and hiking.

HIKE HERE:ย Franz Josef Glacier walk is an easy 1.5 hour round trip walk to the base of Franz Josef Glacier from the car park. Walk past a waterfall along the wide river stone track, suitable for children. You can't get that close to the glacier face anymore because it's receded too far.
