Breakfast spots

"Quieres desayunar?" You won't have to spend much time in Cozumel before you realize that breakfast is a big deal! When making friend a new friend in Cozumel it is just as common for them to ask you breakfast as it would be to go out for a dink.

Great little bakery in the heart of downtown. Perfect for grabbing a quick baked item to go, or sitting down for breakfast.

Cafe de Isla

This is one of the most charming breakfast spots on the island. The cafe is recently renovated and the interior is airy and charming. I always head straight to the garden though. The coffee is impeccable made, and all of the food is esquisite.

French Bakery with wonderful baked good and good coffee. They also offer two specials - called paquettes that are a good value for money.

This airy open air space was once the home of a hammock maker. Go for the beautiful space, traditional dishes, and kind staff.

I used to go here at least once a week for the veggie burrito. If you are looking for something quick and delicious downtown, this is your spot! The food is great and the staff is wonderful.

Nutty Treesome - Cuisine Botanique

Vegan restaurant that everyone will love. All of the dishes are lovingly made by the couple who own the restaurant. Quick tip though- all of that prep takes time, probably not the best place to try if you are in a rush

It might sound crazy to add an entire section just for this but, trust me, the sunsets in cozumel deserve it!

Everything you need for a full day at the beach. Reserved cabanas offer shade and a perfect place to relax when you are not swimming in the emerald water. The owner and staff are fantastic and will make you feel right at home. Reservations are strongly recommended !

A favorite among locals. Pro tip- make sure you arrive before 10 am to grab a good spot. Chairs become scarce later in the day as the cruise ship passengers begin the arrive.

I would stay here just stay here in order to be able to watch the sunset from the rooftop pool! Boutique hotel in the center of downtown. Great value for the money. It was just renovated last year and the rooms are super cosy.

This hotel has the best vibes! The rooms are spacious and clean and I love the courtyard pool area. Plus the adjoining boutique has some of the cutest women's clothes in Cozumel. The location can't be beat either
