Portrait's name comes from a desire to change the picture that comes to mind when folks think of specialty coffee.
Coffee, as a product, was first discovered by Africans. In discovering coffee, they had no clue this drink would become the most consumed beverage, other than water, globally.
On the flip side, they also had no clue that their faces would be forgotten even though the pigment of the drink mirrored their own.

Hodgepodge Coffeehouse is a black woman-owned business, based out of Atlanta,GA. As an independent coffeehouse, Hodgepodge has a one-of-a-kind menu featuring craft coffee and scratch-baked goods that are made in-house every day.
They are proudly antifascist and use their voice and their space to uplift women, minorities, trans and queer folx, the disabled and other marginalized groups.
There are three locations in Atlanta with a fourth coming to the Summerhill area!
