Explore why Old Montreal is the ideal neighborhood for             kids in Montreal

If you're on the hunt for a jam-packed weekend away with the kiddos in Montreal, look no further than Old Montreal! This super cute neighborhood is packed with history, culture, and lots of exciting activities for you and your family to experience. From exploring the Old Port, to checking out some totally kid-friendly museums, and stuffing your face with delicious local eats, Old Montreal has it all. So, let's get into it! Here are my top tips for planning the ultimate family weekend in this gorgeous part of the city.

How to get to Old Montreal?

Flying-

Old Montreal is located approximately 25 min by taxi/uber from the Montreal-Trudeau International Airport. Taxis and Ubers will be readily available at the airport. If you are flying into Montreal and staying in Old Montreal, there is no need for a rental car. Old Montreal is very walkable, (even for little ones)

Driving-

Driving with little ones is a great option as it allows you to pack more and explore more. As a parent, I understand the amount of gear required while traveling with little ones. Old Montreal is conveniently located less than an hour from the US border, making it a great choice for those living in the North East.

However, it's important to be aware of height restrictions on local parking garages. Make sure to check the height restrictions before booking in advance. If you have an oversized vehicle. Outdoor parking lots might be your best option. There are multiple locations throughout the area.

Activities the whole family will love in  Old Montreal.

There is so much packed into such a small neighborhood. You will have more than enough to keep your family busy for the weekend. These are some of my favorite family activities you can pay for. Beyond these suggestions, my absolute favorite thing to do with my family in Old Montreal is to walk around the cobblestone streets and wander into shops to check out all the handmade Canadian items.

Best Family Suite in Old Montreal

I did extensive research before choosing this hotel for my family's stay and I would highly recommend this place to my fellow family travelers.

Having a separate space for my kids is of top priority for me and for my sleep sanity. The Deluxe Double Queen Suite is perfect for a family of 4 who need the separation. You enter into the room and straight into a large kitchenette with everything you might need. Just past the kitchen is the living room with doubles as the extra bedroom. When we arrived the Queen Murphy bed was already all set up for us. The primary bedroom has a queen bed with ensuite bathroom that is accesible tthrough the living area
