Padella Shoreditch
@annechua
This is hands-down my favourite pasta place in the world! Padella opened in 2016 and since then has been the best quality and affordable pasta place in London, with their flagship store at Borough Market and a second branch in Shoreditch. With handmade fresh pastas everyday, padella has the best cacio e pepe, ragu pappardelle, and seasonal pastas as well. I've been so many times that I've tried all of their menu and must say I would always go back for more. A top tip would be to go early, they start a virtual queue at the Borough market store via QR code in front of their store and there are always queues! Or you could book online for the Shoreditch branch which tends to be quieter. This is a MUST visit in London for any pasta lover.

Bancone Covent Garden
@annechua
Bancone is probably my next go-to for pasta in London! Famous for their silk handkerchiefs, walnut butter, and confit egg yolk pasta (check it out on their Instagram), their other pastas (especially their winter menu with truffle) have been excellent! Their portion sizes are slightly larger than Padella and is always a delicious hearty meal. There are two branches of Bancone, one in Covent Garden and one in Golden Square.

manteca
@annechua
Manteca is a fierce competitor of Padella, located nearby its Shoreditch branch! With a similar style of pastas, their brown crab cacio e pepe is a favourite among the crowds. However, they have a larger variety of antipasti dishes which may cater to a larger group of people.

Gloria
@annechua
The flagship Big Mamma group's restaurant, Gloria was an instant hit in London for their aesthetic vibes. Their famous truffle pasta and carbonara (served to you after being tossed in a cheese wheel) are what won over the hearts of so many people. But not only are their pastas delicious, so were their pizzas! Not only that, you've got to save space for their desserts. Like their humongous lemon meringue pie and homemade tiramisu (where they scoop it out for you from their tray). This was truly an excellent experience. Fear not if it is fully booked, they have 3 other branches (Circolo Popolare, Ave Mario, and Jacuzzi)! Be sure to book early for the branch you want.

Locanda Locatelli
@annechua
One of the most affordable 1-Michelin star restaurants for pasta in London! Their lobster linguini priced at £29.50 has got to be one of the best-priced and most delicious lobster pastas I've ever had. Their sides are also affordably priced and fantastic (get the courgette frites).

Officina 00
@annechua
A newer pasta place, what actually stood out to me more were their snacks! Their panko lasagne and fried raviolo (cacio e pepe) were so unique and delicious. Their pastas were also good, though I must say they were not as excellent as the others. There are also two branches of Officina 00 in Fitzrovia and Old Street.

Lina Stores Soho Restaurant
@annechua
Another pasta place that rose to fame recently, Lina stores has become very popular in London! Famous for their 30 egg yolk tagliolini with black truffle, I actually enjoyed their slow roasted pork belly sandwich better (though it seems they may have removed it from their menu). Nevertheless, it is worth a try! There are also 5 branches in London now.

Flour & Grape
@annechua
A less well-known pasta place for smaller-portion sharing style (like Padella), I personally really enjoyed the pastas here! The portion sizes were very decent for the price range (£8-15 pounds) and they were all so flavourful and delicious. The vibe was also very cozy and was a very pleasant experience.

The River Café
@annechua
Another Michelin-starred Italian restaurant, the River cafe has fewer choices of pasta, but has some delicious tasting pastas with a spectacular view overlooking the river. If you want more Antipasta options to choose from, this is definitely a place to checkout!

Da Mario Kensington
@annechua
A cosier neighbourhood pasta place, Da Mario is a favourite in West London. A bustling little restaurant, Da Mario always serves up a hearty plate of pasta or pizza. If you're in the area, this is the place to go!
