Ko Tao.
Before heading to Ko Tao, it's important to know that the island is renowned for its diving spots, so consider getting your PADI certification if you're interested in exploring underwater.
While the island is relatively safe, be cautious with scooter rentals as the roads can be challenging.
Also, cash is KING here, I repeat KING; not all places accept credit cards, and ATMs can have high fees.
Lastly, respect local customs and environmental guidelines to preserve the island's natural beauty.
A little preparation goes a long way in ensuring a memorable stay.
Day 1:
If you’re like us and you’re all about saving time, you’ll probably have taken the overnight ferry that arrives in Ko Tao around 5am.
If you can’t check in yet I recommend going to a 7-eleven to get some snacks and drinks before heading to Sairee beach to watch the sunrise and pet the island pups.

We stayed at the blue view villa, which was a highlight of our stay, however the hostels in Ko Tao are really good and a way better option for more affordable housing. Most places will have a 2pm check in. Checking in right after lunch or late afternoon (depending on how long you want to keep your things with you) are the best options.

Around 7:30 the first places to have breakfast at open.
I recommend grabbing breakfast at The Factory Cafe, we had breakfast there twice and weren’t disappointed by ANYTHING we ordered.

Head down to Sairee Beach after breakfast through the island dive club road next to The Factory Cafe. This street houses very cute shops like may & co, a treasure trove for original jewellery and organic goods and Plas-Tao, an eco-conscious project dedicated to tackling plastic pollution and promoting sustainable practices on the island!

Enjoy the beach and the small road (called Walking street) that borders it, it’s filled with local shops with incredible products all the way down to the end of it.

If you’re lucky you might come across Big Boy, the greatest cuddle buddy. He WILL however fall asleep on your towel and take up all of it if he has the chance 😂
Lunch
Have a nice lunch at either :

Late afternoon
Don’t forget to grab some of the ice cream at Pippin’s homemade after the beach it’s so so worth it 🤩
I highly recommend the Thai Tea flavour it’s truly amazing.

Make a pit stop at Fishbowl, a beach bar that is quite literally on the beach, for some afternoon drinks during happy hour (they have really really good deals during the late afternoon)

Grab a taxi and head home and get ready for a night to remember ;)
Evening
Enjoy a dinner in the sky at the Barracuda Roof top, I recommend their Chinese duck pancakes, they are insane, genuinely.

Then take a walk and enjoy the fire show outside of the Lotus restaurant while you digest.

If it’s Saturday, head to The Local, a karaoke night that is sure to make an impression.

If it’s any other day head back to Fishbowl and enjoy the blasting music and fun crowd

Day 2:

Enjoy :)
