Magical.
I recommend going on a weekend, I know it might be busier but you then experience it sourounded by locals.

Ichiran Shinjuku Kabuki-cho

This is the famous (and delicious! the best!) ramen place where you order from a machine, sit in your individual boot and the food is served opening a wooden drop screen in front of you.

Found almost by mistake, in a quite neighbourhood in Shinagawa - AomonoYokochō metro station.
A small but very authentic and traditional Japanese restaurant.
It was an extraordinary experience - the food was delicious. This was actually my first contact with Japanese etiquette and it can be frustrating (specially for women, as your rice portion will be much smaller…)

I know. It doesn’t look like anything special on the outside - BUT it’s out of this world!
I almost cried when I walked in, took my shoes off and saw the small pond and the waiters dressed in tradicional Japanese costumes.
This restaurant was recomended by a Japanese friend, it’s somewhat pricey but so worth the experience.

I lived a month in Tokyo. And there is still so much I would go back for! So many corner unexplored, so many more foods to try, so many walks to take.
Japan is an amazing country, and Tokyo itself feels like a whole world. Enjoy it. Don’t rush it. The feeling that stuff was left undone and unvisited will follow even if you manage to go everywhere you plan. So enjoy Tokyo, and then will to go back again.
