I lived on Oahu for 4 1/2 years spending every second of my free time exploring what this wonderful island has to offer. This place has a special place in my heart and I can’t wait for you to experience it’s magic!

Because it is so famous- we’ll start with Waikiki…

Surfing here is a must.

Shopping fanatics, this is your place.

Food/restaurants, I got you covered!

Surfing~

Look up a restaurant called La Curacacha in Waikiki on Google Maps. The restaurant is closed permanently but there used to be an awesome surf rental shop below it with the best deals in town. Rent a board for the whole day and you’re walking distance from the shop to one of the most famous surf breaks in the world!

Nearby Hikes~

Mānoa Falls Trail

15-20 min drive from Waikiki. Hard hike but one of my favorites for views of both sides of the island. Lots of stairs going up— be prepared (:

Kaʻau Crater Trail
@britneylargent
Arguably one of my favorite hikes on the island. You get a mix of everything— ridge line, insane views, 3 waterfalls, and a look down into a crater. HARD and will take you roughly 5 hours but worth it if you have the day.

Quite possibly my favorite place in the world.

If it’s winter, the surf will most likely be HUGE (I’m talking 20ft some days). Come here planning not to swim but watch the most insane waves and potentially even a WSL surf competition. If it’s summer, odds are it’s just more mellow!
